Why this one is hard to judge by eye
A die is drawn about 2.88 times as wide as a garden ant as well as 2.76 times its measured size, so the area it takes in the frame grows faster than the figure anyone quotes. Both shapes fit in a single glance here, which ought to make 2.76 to one obvious between a die and a garden ant, and it is not: at this size the eye compares whole outlines while the figures above compare one axis. On the drawing above a die is about 1.04 times as wide as it is tall and a garden ant about 2.60 times as wide as it is tall, so the two outlines fill the frame in ways that have nothing to do with the one axis being compared.
What each figure covers
Die. A casino die is sixteen millimetres on a side, machined to a tolerance far tighter than a toy one. It is in this set because a cube is the simplest reference that exists.
