How big is a megalodon compared to a Stegosaurus?
A megalodon measures 16 m (52.5 ft) end to end, and a Stegosaurus measures 7 m (23 ft) end to end. A Stegosaurus would have to grow by 129% to match a megalodon, which is 2.29 times its length. Take 2 Stegosauruses laid end to end and you reach 14 m (45.9 ft), still 2 m (6.56 ft) short of a megalodon; one more would overshoot by 5 m (16.4 ft). A megalodon is written in tens of metres and a Stegosaurus in single metres, a whole band of scale apart.

Why this one is hard to judge by eye
A megalodon is drawn about 2.29 times as wide as a Stegosaurus as well as 2.29 times its length, so the area it takes in the frame grows faster than the figure anyone quotes. A megalodon sits in the range with no handy yardstick: too big to hold against anything you have carried, too small to need a horizon, so it and a Stegosaurus end up filed under the same vague heading of very large.
What each figure covers
Megalodon. The 16 m is a mid-range estimate. Megalodon is known almost entirely from teeth, and body length is reconstructed from tooth size, which is why published figures run from about 15 m to over 20 m.
Stegosaurus. Stegosaurus is quoted nose to tail. The plates along the back are not part of the length, and their arrangement is still argued over.
A megalodon and a Stegosaurus are both quoted as a length, which is what makes the ratio above a like-for-like figure.
What else is about that size?
Measured the same way, Megalodon at 16 m sits within a tenth of Sperm Whale at 16 m and Spinosaurus at 14.5 m. Stegosaurus at 7 m has Killer Whale at 7.3 m and Football Goal at 7.56 m for company, within a tenth. Swapping any of those in for a megalodon would move its ratio to a Stegosaurus by less than 10%.
