Why this one is hard to judge by eye

What each figure covers
Moose. Bull moose are measured nose to tail. The antlers, which can span close to two metres on their own, sit entirely outside that number.
Bicycle. A road bike is measured wheel to wheel, which is the footprint it takes on a rack or a train. The rider adds nothing to that number.
