Why this one is hard to judge by eye

What each figure covers
Moose. Bull moose are measured nose to tail. The antlers, which can span close to two metres on their own, sit entirely outside that number.
Horse. Horses are quoted here nose to tail. Riders use hands at the withers instead, a completely different measurement taken on the same animal.
