What is 2 metres tall?
Eight objects in the Size It Up measurement set stand between 1.8 m (5.91 ft) and 2.39 m (7.84 ft), Gandalf the shortest and Groot the tallest. That is 2 m (6.56 ft) give or take a fifth, and Mewtwo is recorded at that figure itself, with three others inside a tenth of it. Every number here is a height, which is the only reason Gandalf and Groot can be put in the same row: the drawing below holds them to one scale and one height.

Where each one falls against 2 m
At 1.8 m (5.91 ft), Gandalf is 10% below it. Mewtwo is the one that needs no rounding: 2 m (6.56 ft). Darth Vader runs 1% over at 2.02 m (6.63 ft).
Master Chief runs 9% over at 2.18 m (7.15 ft). Chewbacca runs 14% over at 2.28 m (7.48 ft). Sulley runs 15% over at 2.29 m (7.51 ft). No outline on the page spreads wider than Sulley: 1.55 m across for 2.29 m of height.
Shrek runs 17% over at 2.33 m (7.64 ft). At 2.39 m (7.84 ft), Groot stands 20% above it. No outline on the page is narrower than Groot: 82.78 cm of width for 2.39 m of height, a ratio of 2.9 to one.
The gaps inside the band

Why they do not look the same size
The drawing above puts all eight outlines on one scale, standing on one ground line, so the only thing separating Gandalf from Groot is the measurement itself. Sulley is 1.96 times as wide as Gandalf on that drawing, 1.55 m against 79.3 cm, while the figures that put them both on this page are 27% apart. That is the whole difficulty with judging size by eye: what fills the frame is the outline of Sulley, and what puts it on this page is one height of 2.29 m. Sulley and Gandalf are held to the same scale all the same, the way a drawing has to be built before two sizes can be read off it at once.
What each figure covers
Five of them are characters rather than objects, Gandalf, Darth Vader, Master Chief, Chewbacca and Sulley, and a character has no tape measure behind it: the figure comes from what the story fixes, not from anyone standing next to it. Mewtwo, Shrek and Groot carry no qualifier in the set, so their figure is the plain one, with nothing narrowed down. Between them these eight objects have come up 36 times in the daily game, and Mewtwo accounts for 10 of those on its own. Two of them have been drawn no more than twice in all: Master Chief and Groot.
